Stone Temple Pilots have begun mapping plans for a summer outing, which will include a stop in New Hampshire. The 90’s rock favorites will play an intimate show at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Tuesday, August 2. Tickets for the show are $60 and will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

The California-based rockers continue to tour in support of their self-titled sixth studio album, the band’s first since 2001’s Shangri-La Dee Da. Comprised of lead singer Scott Weiland, guitarist Dean DeLeo, bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz, Stone Temple Pilots reunited in 2008 after a five-year hiatus. Debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release last May, Stone Temple Pilots features singles “Between the Lines”, “Take a Load Off” and “Cinnamon”. It marks the band’s first album without producer Brendan O’Brien at the helm, after the DeLeo brothers chose to produce it.

In related news, Weiland is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited autobiography, “Not Dead & Not For Sale”, which will hit stores on May 17 via the Simon & Schuster imprint Scribner. Weiland collaborated on the project with David Ritz, who has co-written autobiographies for the Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles.
