Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell will return to the road this spring as they continue to promote, 2013’s Love Has Come for You. The Grammy Award-winning collaborators will bring their celebrated live show to New England for a pair of concerts, including one at the The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday, June 18. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $67 to $126, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

Love Has Come for You
debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Bluegrass Albums last April. Produced by Peter Asher (James Taylor, Elvis Costello), the 13-track album fuses Martin’s five-string banjo work with Brickell’s distinctive vocals with the backing of bluegrass veterans the Steep Canyon Rangers. The album also features several special guests including bassist Esperanza Spalding, veteran studio guitarist Waddy Wachtel and Nickel Creek’s Sara and Sean Watkins. “Love Had Come For You”, which is streaming below, won this year’s Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song.

Following the performance in New Hampshire, Martin and company will move south to Connecticut for a show at Mortensen Hall at the Bushnell Center in Hartford on June 19.

This month, PBS will premiere Martin’s first-ever live concert television broadcast titled simply, “Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell Live”. The special was filmed at the historic Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, California in the fall of 2013. Rounder Records will release the special as a deluxe two-disc CD/DVD package on March 11.

Along with the upcoming tour, Martin and Brickell are also working on a new musical production called “Bright Star”.
