Staind to go acoustic at Aaron Lewis’ benefit concert

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis and his charity It Takes A Community will host their 4th annual benefit concert this summer. The “Aaron Lewis and Friends” benefit concert will take place at The Pines Theater at Look Park in Florence on Friday, June 27.

Along with a solo set of his own, Lewis will be joined by his Staind bandmates for a rare acoustic performance. Brent Smith and Zach Myers of Shinedown will also perform, as will Jon Berman and Rick Monroe. Tickets for the concert are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $59 and $79. Lewis and his wife Vanessa founded the a 501c3 non-for-profit organization It Takes A Community in 2010 with a focus on reviving rural communities throughout the greater New England area. The charity works with local leaders and community organizations to raise funds and and provide assistance to communities in crisis.

The Massachusetts native is reportedly working on his second full-length solo album. The veteran rocker went country with the release of his full-length debut album The Road in 2012. The album was produced by James Stroud (Toby Keith, Tim McGraw) and features singles “Endless Summer” and “Forever”. Meanwhile, Staind are also at work on their eighth studio album and first since their 2011 self-titled album.
