, Staff

After rocking the Life is good Festival in Canton last weekend, Soulive have announced plans for a special return to Massachusetts. The jazz/funk trio will rock back-to-back nights at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston on Sunday, December 30 and Monday, December 31. Tickets for both shows, which are priced at $20 for night one and $40 for night two (New Year’s Eve) will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

In June, Soulive teamed up with Karl Denson for a collaborative released called SPARK!. The 4-song EP features a trio of covers, while the title track is the only original and pays tribute to the late Melvin Sparks.

The song is streaming below. In 2010, the band released a Beatles tribute called Rubber Soulive. Soulive’s last offering of all new material was 2009’s Up Here.

Soulive is comprised of Eric Krasno (guitar), Alan Evans (drums) and Neal Evans (organ, bass keys).
