Soulive announce New Year’s Eve show
Soulive have revealed plans for their annual New Year’s Eve performance in Boston. The jazz/funk trio will return to Boston for two-night stand at the Paradise Rock Club on Monday, December 30 and Tuesday, December 31. Tickets for each of the performances, which will also feature openers The London Souls, will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster. Monday’s show will be priced at $20, while tickets to the New Year’s Eve show will be sold for $40.
Last summer, Soulive teamed up with Karl Denson for a collaborative released called SPARK!. The 4-song EP features a trio of covers, while the title track is the only original and pays tribute to the late Melvin Sparks. The song is streaming below.
In 2010, the band released a Beatles tribute called Rubber Soulive. Soulive’s last offering of all new material was 2009’s Up Here.
Soulive is comprised of Eric Krasno (guitar), Alan Evans (drums) and Neal Evans (organ, bass keys).
