Soulive and Lettuce plan the Royal Family Ball

, Staff

With all the hubbub about the Royal Wedding, it only seems logical that the Royal Family Ball featuring Soulive and Lettuce hits Boston this fall. The Royal Family Records labelmates will play a co-headlining show at the House of Blues on Friday, October 21. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $22.50.

Soulive, who are celebrating their 12th anniversary this year, is comprised of the trio of Eric Krasno (guitar), Alan Evans (drums) and Neal Evans (organ, bass). The funky jazz trio most recent release was 2010’s Rubber Soulive, a collection of Beatles covers.

Lettuce, who formed at Berklee College of Music in the early 90’s, features Krasno and Evans of Soulive. Their last studio release was 2008’s Rage!.

Aside from the Boston show, other New England stops on the Royal Family Ball tour include Portland, Maine on October 22 and Burlington, Vermont on October 28 and 29.
