Vermont’s SnowMont Music Festival, which was scheduled to take place from March 30 through April 1 in Killington, has been cancelled. Festival organizers have cited poor ticket sales as the cause for postponing of the event and all of its scheduled performers. Ticket holders can expect a full refund in the amount of their original purchase price within seven to ten business days.

“It is with heavy regret we announce that the SnowMont Music Festival has been cancelled indefinitely due to the event’s lack of demand,” organizers said in an official statement. “As the visionaries of this event, we can assure you that we are just as disappointed to tell you this news as you are to hear it, and we thoroughly sympathize with your disappointment.”

The Flaming Lips, Snoop Dog and Kaskade were scheduled to a headline the festival. The diverse range of acts performing at SnowMont also included Slightly Stoopid, Big Boi, Chromeo, DJ Shadow, Diplo, Lotus, Datsik, Railroad Earth and Easy Star All Stars, Porter Robinson, Borgore, Savoy Live, Gramatik, Nervo, Le Castle Vania, Kid Sister, Ott, The Nadis Warriors, Minnesota, D.V.S*, Pierce Fulton, Lazerdisk and Party Sex.

The SnowMont Music Festival aimed to bring together fans of music and winter sports. Killington Resort, the largest ski area in the Eastern United States, stretches across six mountains and features 140 trails served by 22 lifts.
