Slayer to play the Tsongas Center in Lowell

Slayer have announced plans to return to Massachusetts this fall. The heavy metal legends will rock the Tsongas Center in Lowell on Saturday, November 30. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $29.50 to $49.50, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. Gojira and 4ARM will open the show.

With no new album to support, fans can expect a diverse setlist culled from the band’s three-decades worth of material. Founding members Tom Araya (lead vocals, bass) and Kerry King (guitar) are reportedly working on new material and hope to begin recording the follow-up to 2009’s World Painted Blood this fall.

Slayer is comprised of Araya, King, drummer Paul Bostaph, and guitarist Gary Holt, who continues to fill in for the late founding member Jeff Hanneman who passed away in May.
