Slash to hit the road in support of new solo album

Slash, legendary guitarist for both Guns ‘N Roses and Velvet Revolver, has announced plans for his first solo tour in support of his recently released self-titled solo album. The tour is set to come through Boston on Wednesday, September 15 at the House of Blues. Tickets are $29.50 and $39.50 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

On tour, Slash will be joined by Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy, who contributes vocals to two tracks on Slash, as well as rhythm guitarist Bobby Schneck, bassist Todd Kerns and drummer Brent Fitz.

Slash’s self titled debut album was released on April 6 and features numerous big name guest appearances from Ozzy Osborne to Iggy Pop, Adam Levine and even Fergie. Also appearing on the album are Slash’s former Guns ‘N Roses and Velvet Revolver band mates Duff McKagan, Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin. The first single from the album, “By the Sword”, which features Wolfmother vocalist Andrew Stockdale, is now streaming on Slash’s MySpace.
