Skrillex sets plans for ‘Mothership’ tour

Skrillex has revealed plans for a spring tour in support of his brand new album, Recess. The EDM star will make two stops in New England as part of his upcoming “Mothership” tour. He’ll perform at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook in Gilford on Wednesday, June 4. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $24 to $42, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website. Milo & Otis, What So Not and DJ Snake will also perform.

Recess, Skrillex’ major label full-length debut album, is now streaming on iTunes and will hit stores on March 18. The album was conceived and recorded across the globe with sessions taking place in Los Angeles, Seattle, Seoul, London, Stockholm, San Francisco and Brooklyn. It features a plethora of special guests including Passion Pit vocalist Michael Angelakos, Chance The Rapper, Diplo, Niki & The Dove, Ragga Twins to name just a handful. For the upcoming tour, Skrillex has teamed up with Red Bull to help assist with the stage production. “Nobody touches Red Bull right now when it comes to thinking up groundbreaking projects and ideas and actually making them happen,” said Skrillex in a press release. “My crew and their crew have a lot in common, as people in terms of thinking big and going big so they were an obvious choice as a partner for my 2014 tour.”

Along with the show in New Hampshire, Skrillex will also perform in Maine. The show, which is the last scheduled date on the upcoming tour, will take place at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland on Wednesday, July 30. General admission tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $45.
