Shinedown will join forces with Chevelle, Puddle of Mudd, Sevendust and 10 Years for the “Carnival of Madness” tour this summer. The tour of rock favorites will make its way to Massachusetts on Sunday, August 1 for a night at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. Tickets, which range in price from $12.5 to $35.00 with a special 4-pack of tickets available for $9.50 each, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

“I am beyond excited for this tour,” proclaimed Shinedown frontman Brent Smith in a press release. “The production is incredible, the line up is amazing, and the energy of having all five bands on one stage is going to be like nothing else this summer.”

Shinedown’s most recent album, and inspiration for the tour name, The Sound of Madness, was released back in 2008. The album has been certified platinum, selling over 1 million copies and spawning the band’s first Top 10 hit, “Second Chance”.

Chevelle, most well known for their hit songs “Send the Pain Below” and “Viatamin R”, will be joining the band on the tour. Their most recent album Sci-Fi Crimes was released last August and debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, the highest entry in their career.

Puddle of Mudd’s most recent album, Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate was released last December. Sevendust, who recently reunited with founding guitarist and vocalist Clint Lowery, just released their eight album, Cold Day Memory. 10 Years, whose new album Feeding the Wolves is expected for a mid-summer release, rounds out the “Carnival of Madness” lineup.
