Shinedown and Three Days Grace have revealed plans to team up for a co-headlining tour in early 2013. Joined by openers P.O.D., the hard rockers will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Tsongas Center in Lowell on Wednesday, February 20. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website for $25 and $40.50.

“Shinedown prides itself on always taking our live shows to the next level and giving our fans everything they want — honest, emotional, and incendiary performances,” declared frontman Brent Smith in a press release. “This tour is no exception. In fact, we’re raising the bar.”

Three Days Grace added, “can’t wait to get back out on the road to play live for our fans; that’s the best part of doing what we do.”

Amaryllis, Shinedown’s fourth studio album, debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 after its release in March. Produced by Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day), the album expands Shinedown’s hard rock sound by adding synths, a 27-piece orchestra and a 10-piece horn section to different songs. Amaryllis features singles “Bully” and “Unity”.

Transit of Venues, Three Days Grace’s fourth studio effort debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 after its release last month, making it the their third consecutive album to debut in the top five. Produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Bullet for My Valentine) and recorded at Revolution Studios in Toronto, it features lead single “Chalk Outline”.
