Scissor Sisters have made revealed plans for a North American tour this summer in support of their latest release, Night Work. The New York-bred band will make their way to Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Saturday, August 28. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $30 and $40, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Sammy Jo will open the show.

Released at the end of last month, Night Work is the third studio album by the Scissor Sisters. It follows the band’s 2006 album Ta-Dah. Speaking about the tour, vocalists Jake Shears said in a press release, “We are so thrilled to be back out on the road in the USA, it’s going to be our best tour ever and we can’t wait to see our fans! It’s been too long. We’d also like to thank everyone who’s bought the album, it’s been lodged firmly in the iTunes top ten this last week, and that’s mostly to do with the loyal fans that have supported us through the years.”
