Scissor Sisters to bring Magic Hour to Boston

Scissor Sisters will hit the road this summer to promote their forthcoming album, Magic Hour. The quirky rock-disco group will visit Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Saturday, June 30. Tickets, which range in price from $30 to $45, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Magic Hour, Scissor Sisters’ forth studio album and follow-up to 2010’s Night Work, will hot stores on May 28. Recorded over the past year in New York and London, it features collaborators Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Alex Rihda (BoysNoize) and Azealia Banks.

“It’s a sweet joyful mélange of beat-driven future-pop,” said singer Jake Shears in a press release. “It style-hops all over the place unabashedly.”

Scissor Sisters’ recently released “Only The Horses”, Magic Hour’s lead single. The song was produced by Harris, whom Shears met when the two were working on Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite. “When we wrote ‘Horses’, I immediately knew that he’d help knock it out of the park”, explained Shears.
