Schedule set for Saturday’s Radio 92.9 EarthFest

, Staff

The weather forecast is calling for perfect sunshine, just in time for Radio 92.9’s 19th annual EarthFest concert. The free day-long festival will take place at Boston’s Hatch Memorial Shell with music from Switchfoot, Third Eye Blind, Eve 6 and Spin Doctors.

The festival’s main stage will kick off with local favorites Twin Berlin, who earned the opportunity by winning the “Boch Boston Bands” competition over Fairhaven, 51 Shortfalls and Mission Hill (who did not participate in the live battle due to prior commitments).

The Radio 92.9 EarthFest will also feature Kids’ Planet – an interactive family area. Kids’ Planet will feature performances from Vanessa Trien, Sarah Wheeler and Little Groove, Mister G, RhymeZweLL and student performers from Zumix. Performances at Kid’s Planet begin at 10 a.m.

The full lineup for both stages with expected set times is available below.

Presented by Whole Foods Market, Radio 92.9 calls the free festival “a celebration for the Earth, showcasing national and local music acts, environmentally friendly products and local non-profit environmental organizations”.

In addition to all the music, the event will host environmental non-profits from across the country and the “Market Vendor Village” with free samples. EarthFest will once again be a carbon neutral event through the purchase of carbon offset credits.

With more than 100,000 people expected to attend the festival, concertgoers are encouraged to take the Green Line to Arlington Street or take the Red Line to Charles Street / MGH.
