Saves The Day and Bayside have revealed plans for co-headlining tour this fall. The two bands will play a pair of shows at Boston’s Royale on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9, with Bayside headlining the first night and Saves The Day headlining the second. I Am The Avalanche and Transit will open both shows. Tickets for both shows are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $17.50.

“We are thrilled to be touring this fall with our good friends in Bayside,” commented Saves The Day lead singer Chris Conley in a press release. “We’ll be playing a bunch of new songs in support of our new album, Daybreak, as well as all the old songs you’re dying to hear.”

“I have to keep re-checking my emails to make sure I’m not imagining this tour,” added Bayside lead singer Anthony Raneri. “It is for sure one of my favorite line ups. I’ve been listening to Saves The Day since high school and they’re still one of my favorite bands ever. I have followed Vinnie from I Am The Avalanche since his Movielife days and have loved everything he’s done with Avalanche. It’s safe to say that without Saves The Day and Vinnie’s work, there would never have been a Bayside. Not to mention they are some of my best friends now. Absolutely can’t wait.”

For Saves The Day, the tour will serve as promotion for their forthcoming album Daybreak, which is due out on September 13. Produced by Marc Jacob Hudson (Two Tongues, Chiodos) and Saves The Day, the new album is the final piece of a three album concept trilogy that started with 2006‘s Sound The Alarm and 2008’s Under The Boards. The video for “Deranged & Desperate”, Daybreak‘s lead single, is streaming below.

“Sound The Alarm is an expression of discontent. Under The Boards is reflection and remorse. Daybreak is acceptance,” explained Conley. “Daybreak wraps up the challenges we wrote about on the previous two albums and transcends the pain those songs were about by facing the fear and angst that comes in this life and tiring it into growth and positive change.”

Bayside’s most recent album, Killing Time, was released by in February. The album, their fifth studio effort, debuted at #35 on Billboard 200. Produced by producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World), Killing Time features singles “Sick, Sick, Sick” and “Already Gone”.
