Sarah McLachlan has revealed plans for a summer tour in support of her forthcoming album, Shine On. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will stop in New England for three concerts, including a performance at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on Saturday, July 19. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $79.50, will go on sale Saturday at 8 a.m. through Live Nation.

Shine On, McLachlan’s eighth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Laws of Illusion, will be released on May 6. The new album was recorded in Montreal and Vancouver with her longtime collaborator/producer Pierre Marchand as well as Bob Rock and Vincent Jones.

“This album is about moving through the second half of my life in a more mindful and meaningful way, recognizing that every day, every moment is precious and though we all have our issues and problems, our damages, we all have the ability to continue to learn, grow from our experiences, thrive and shine on,” explained McLachlan in a press release. “Many of the songs are inspired at least partially or wholly by my father’s passing three years ago and the profound effect losing him had on me. I had to find my footing again without the anchor of his unconditional love.”

McLachlan will kick off her run of New England concerts in Maine with a performance scheduled for the Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor on July 18. She’ll also perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on July 20.
