Sarah McLachlan has revealed plans for a special summer tour featuring the accompaniment of a symphony orchestra at each stop. The veteran Canadian singer will perform at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Friday, July 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $31 to $76, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The idea for the summer tour came after McLachlan’s special symphony orchestra performances last summer at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, as well as her orchestra performances at the Hollywood Bowl and MusicFest Vancouver 2011.

McLachlan’s last offering of new material was 2010’s Laws of Illusion. The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200.

Along with the Boston show, McLachlan will make two other stops in New England. She’ll first perform in Vermont on June 24 at The Green at Shelburne Museum. On July 7, McLachlan will perform at the MGM Grand Theatre at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

McLachlan will team up with Tickets-for-Charity.com to offer fans access to fantastic first row seats and a special meet & greet opportunity to benefit the Sarah McLachlan School of Music and its mission to bring music education to young people through free music programs dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity and a sense of community among students.
