, Staff

After delivering a sold out performance at the House of Blues last month, Sam Smith has revealed plans for a return visit to Boston as part of another stateside tour in 2015. The British soul singer and songwriter will take on the more expansive Agganis Arena for his next concert in Boston on Saturday, January 17. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $45 to $75, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Smith continues to tour in support of his debut album, In the Lonely Hour. Released in May, the album has been powered by the success of the global smash hit “Stay With Me”. It has reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and the top five in an another dozen countries. With the album’s release, Smith made U.S. pop music history by selling more copies in its first week of release – 165,966 – than any other debut album by a UK male artist in the 23-year history of Soundscan.
