Ryan Bingham has revealed plans for a fall tour in support of his forthcoming album, Tomorrowland. The singer-songwriter will make his way to Boston for a performance at Royale on Saturday, October 20. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25.

Tomorrowland, Bingham’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Junky Star, will be released on September 18 through Bingham’s new independent record label Axster Bingham Records. The album was recorded in Malibu, California with producer Justin Stanley. Lead single “Heart of Rhythm” will be released next week.

“With this record I tried to take a step back and take more time than I have on any previous albums,” explained Bingham in a press release. “The decision to produce it myself with co-producer Justin Stanley was a step into unknown territory at first, but once we started recording it almost felt like it was creating itself. I think the songs can speak for themselves and I’m excited to get out on the road and play them for people.”

In 2009, Bingham wrote and performed the theme song “The Weary Kind” for the acclaimed film “Crazy Heart” starring Jeff Bridges. The track was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer T Bone Burnett and earned Bingham an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Critics’ Choice Award for “Best Song” in 2010, as well as a Grammy Award for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture” in 2011.
