Rodrigo y Gabriela are staying busy this summer with a tour that will Massachusetts later this month. The duo, who focus heavily on a quick tempo using acoustic guitars, will play the Boston Opera House on Thursday, August 26. Tickets, which range in price from $37 to $42, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

The Mexico City native/Dublin, Ireland based duo of Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero continue to tour in support of their third studio album, 11:11. Released last September, the album was recorded through live takes at a studio they built in Ixtapa on the Pacific Coast. 11:11 includes guest appearances by Alex Skolnick of metal outfit Testament and classical-guitar duo Strunz & Farah. The two also made a point to dedicate each song to artists they found to be an inspiration including Carlos Santana and Jimi Hendrix.

Rodrigo y Gabriela recently shot a music video for their new single, “Hanuman”, in Mexico near the Zihuatanejo area. While the song itself is dedicated to Santana, the video parallels a record of a Pink Floyd performance amongst the Pompeii ruins. Check it out here.

In May, Rodrigo y Gabriela shared the stage with Beyonce as the musical guests for The President’s State Dinner with Mexico.
