Rod Stewart postpones spring tour

Rod Stewart has decided to postpone his upcoming spring tour with Steve Winwood to the winter. Stewart’s “Live The Life” tour stop at Boston’s TD Garden has been postponed from Thursday, April 18 to Wednesday, December 4. Tickets will be honored at the new date or refunds will be available at the point of purchase until February 22.

Stewart postponed the tour to accommodate finishing pre-production and spring promotion of his first original rock studio album in almost 20 year. The upcoming release, which still has no release date, will be his first original studio album since 2001’s Human.

“I produced it myself,” he said in an interview with Billboard last fall. “It’s all finished, mixed, everything…Just a good, old-fashioned Rod Stewart album (with) a lot of mandolin and acoustic (guitar) and fiddles and good storytelling, I believe, too.”
