In what is sure to be one of the most anticipated tours of the spring, Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks have announced plans to hit the road for a co-headlining tour. Dubbed the “Heart & Soul” tour, the pair of legendary singers will perform at Boston’s TD Garden on Wednesday, March 30. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $95 to $149.50, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

“We haven’t yet begun rehearsals but I can already tell you this, with Stevie on board our audiences are in store for an evening of pure rock & roll music,” said Stewart in a press release. “I’m already thinking about which of my old favorites to bring back and vocally, I think we’ve both begun thinking about which songs might be great fun and well-suited for a duet or two.”

Fans can expect Stewart and Nicks to play a set filled with a mix of their best known hits along with some new material. Prior to their Boston show, the two will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Sunday, March 27. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $125 and $175, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

For most of the past decade, Stewart has focused his attention on delivering albums featuring covers of material from classic singer-songwriters with his Great American Songbook series, the most recent being 2010’s Fly Me to the Moon…The Great American Songbook Volume V.

Nicks, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac, is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming solo album, In Your Dreams. Co-produced by former Eurythmic Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, the new album is Nicks’ seventh studio effort and first since 2001’s Trouble in Shangri-La. It’s scheduled to hit stores on May 3.

The two officially made the announcement during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last week. Check out the interview below.
