Rivers Cuomo to release “Pinkerton Diaries” in March

, Staff

After Weezer thrilled fans here in Boston late last year with a full performance of their sophomore album, Pinkerton, it seems the nostalgia will continue as frontman Rivers Cuomo announced the release of “The Pinkerton Diaries”.

The book will include lyrics, music, journal entries, drawings, and other works that Cuomo put together while recording the band’s 1996 album.  The Weezer frontman recently previewed the book with a video message to fans. Check it our below.

The ‘diaries’ will be simultaneously released with the third album in Cuomo’s “Alone” series, which will feature outtakes from the Pinkerton years. Both will be available for sale in March, however no official release date has been set.

For even more incentive, the first 500 fans to pre-order the album will receive a free poster autographed by Cuomo.
