Fresh off a sparkling performance at the Grammy Awards, Rihanna has announced plans to bring her “Loud” tour to the US this summer. The Barbadian pop starlet will play Boston’s TD Garden on Sunday, July 24. Tickets, which range in price from $22.25 to $102.25, will go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Opening the show will be fellow hit-maker Cee Lo Green of Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley, and most recently “Fuck You”-fame.

The Grammy Award winning pop star is touring in support of her latest album, Loud, which has gone to #1 in six countries. Released last November, the album is Rihanna’s fifth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Rated R. Loud has been powered by hit singles “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name?”.

For the tour, Rihanna is promising a  show with all new production, costumes and stage design.  “We’re creating an incredible ride with this tour,” said Rihanna in a press release. “I’m excited to get out on the road and share my new music from this album. We are going to have an amazing time and I know my fans are ready to get Loud!”

This will be Rihanna’s first visit to the Boston area since her “Last Girl On Earth” show at the Comcast Center last August (#12 in our Top 25 Concerts of 2010). For a review of that show click here.
