Singer Ricky Martin has announced the first set of dates for his “Música + Alma + Sexo World Tour 2011”, including one stop in New England. The Latin superstar will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Sunday, April 17. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $45 to $55, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Martin is hitting the road for the first time in three years to support his recently released bilingual album, Música + Alma + Sexo. The album which currently stands at #3 on the Billboard 200 is the highest chart debut for a principally Spanish language album since Selena’s Dreaming of You in July of 1995.  The album sits atop the Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.

The Grammy Award-winning Martin recently added best-selling author to his resume with the release of his autobiography, Me. In Me, Martin opens up for the first time about his early childhood, his experiences in the renowned boy band Menudo, the challenges of increased fame that came with the Livin’ La Vida Loca phenomenon, and his continued growth as a musician. Martin also explores life-changing decisions like coming to terms with his sexuality, becoming a father, and devoting himself to helping children around the world.

In other news, beginning in the spring of 2012, Martin will play Ché in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s landmark musical Evita.
