Reba McEntire to play the Mohegan Sun Arena

Reba McEntire has announced plans to play the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut next month. The country superstar will perform the one-off show on Saturday, January 14. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $45 and $65.

The show continues Reba’s promotion of her latest release, 2010’s All the Women I Am. The album, her 26th studio effort, reached #7 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. It has been powered by hit singles “Turn On the Radio”, “If I Were a Boy” and “When Love Gets a Hold of You”. McEntire produced the album with Dann Huff.

In September, McEntire confirmed on her website that ABC had ordered a pilot for her second television series, “Malibu Country”. In the show, she’ll play a divorced mother of three who moves to Malibu, California to restart her music career. Filming for the pilot will take place next April and if picked the series is picked up, production will begin next August.
