Ray LaMontagne and David Gray team up for summer tour

Singer-songwriters Ray LaMontagne and David Gray have unveiled dates for a joint summer tour. The two will bring their soulful and poignant music to the Boston area, stopping for a pair of performances at the Bank of America Pavilion on August 17 and 18. Tickets, which range in price from $34.50 to $55, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

New Hampshire native Ray LaMontagne is currently recording his fourth album, slated to hit stores later this year. His last album, Gossip in the Grain, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200. LaMontagne’s touring band is comprised bassist Jennifer Condos, guitarist Eric Heywood and drummer Ethan Johns.

British songwriter David Gray continues to tour in support of his eighth studio album, Draw The Line, which was released last September. Produced by Downtown Records (Mos Def, Asa), the album’s lead single “Fugitive” enjoyed twelve consecutive weeks as #1 on AAA. The album also features Annie Lennox and Jolie Holland on two separate duets. Draw The Line is Gray’s first studio effort since parting with long-time partner Craig McClune in 2007. His new band features Neill MacColl on guitar, Robbie Malone on bass, and Keith Pryor on drums.
