Rascal Flatts look ahead to summer tour

After rocking the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence last month, Rascal Flatts have revealed plans to return to New England later this year as part of a highly anticipated summer tour. Dubbed “The American Band Tour”, the summertime trek will feature an all band set-up with Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge opening. The country music superstars will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Saturday, June 16. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25.50 to $60.25, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

“We are always looking for new ways to re-energize our live shows,” explained Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts in a press release. “We thought bringing out these bands, whom are among some of our favorite vocal groups, would make a great night of entertainment!”

Rascal Flatts will be tour in support of their forthcoming release, Changed. The band’s eighth studio effort is scheduled to hit stores on April 3 through Big Machine Records. Co-produced by Flatts and longtime collaborator Dann Huff, Changed features lead single “Banjo”. The new song is streaming below.

Little Big Town continues to tour in support of their most recent release, 2010’s The Reason Why. Eli Young Band will be promoting 2011’s Life at Best, while Eden’s Edge continues to tour behind their 2011 self-titled debut album.

The summer tour will kick off at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on June 15.
