Ra Ra Riot to play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club

After opening for Guster through the summer, Ra Ra Riot will return to Massachusetts later this month for a headlining show of their own. The Syracuse-bred indie rockers will hit Boston for a show at the Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, October 20. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $18. Opening the show will be Delicate Steve and Yellow Ostrich.

The sextet is continues to tour in support of their latest release, 2010’s The Orchard. The album, the band’s second full-length studio effort, debuted at #36 on the Billboard 200 and features successful singles “Boy” and “Too Dramatic”. The album was produced by Ra Ra Riot and Andrew Maury with 9 of the ten tracks mixed by Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla and one mixed by Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij.

In a recent interview with Spin, bassist Mathieu Santos revealed that he and Ra Ra Riot are already working on their third album. “We just started working on our next batch of songs that will become our third album,” he said. “There’s no real timeframe for the album yet, but we hope to start recording by the end of the year. We’re all really excited about the new material so far.”

Santos released his debut solo album Massachusetts in August.

Ra Ra Riot will perform on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on October 11.
