Pitbull & Kesha to kick off joint tour in Massachusetts

Pitbull and Kesha have revealed plans to join forces for a co-headlining tour this summer. The two pop stars will kick off the summer trek in Massachusetts with a performance at the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Thursday, May 23. Australia’s Justice Crew will provide support along with Chicago’s Jump Smokers. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $32.50 to $132.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Both Pitbull and Kesha will be touring in support of their 2012 releases with Pitbull promoting Global Warming and Kesha promoting Warrior.

Global Warming, Pitbull’s seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s Planet Pit, debuted at #14 on the Billboard 200 after its release in November. It features singles “Back in Time”, “Get It Started” and “Don’t Stop the Party”. Christina Aguilera provides guest vocals to Pitbull’s latest single “Feel This Moment”, while other contributors on Global Warming include Chris Brown, Usher, Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias.

Warrior, Kesha’s second studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Animal, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 after its release in December. Iggy Pop provides vocals on “Dirty Love”, while other contributors on the album include Nate Ruess of fun., will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, The Strokes and The Flaming Lips. Warrior features singles “Die Young” and “C’Mon”. Dr. Luke executive-produced the 12-track album.
