Peter Wolf announces several local shows

Peter Wolf will perform several shows across Massachusetts next month, including stops in Salisbury, Natick and Fall River, as well as Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

The legendary frontman for the J. Geils Band will kick off the brief outing at The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Tuesday, March 15. Tickets for the show are now on sale through e-tix.com for $35. On Sunday, March 20, Wolf will perform at the Blue Ocean Music Hall is Salisbury. A handful of tickets are still available for $30 through the venue’s box office and website. He’ll also perform sold out shows at the Center for the Arts in Natick on March 16 and 17, as well as the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River on March 21.

Wolf continues to tour in support of his latest solo album, Midnight Souvenirs. Released last April, the album is Wolf’s seventh solo studio effort and first since 2002’s Sleepless. Midnight Souvenirs was named Album of the Year at the 2010 Boston Music Awards. It features special guests Merle Haggard, Shelby Lynne, and Neko Case. Wolf’s backing band is comprised of Duke Levine (guitar), Kevin Barry (guitar), Marty Ballou (bass), Marty Richards (drums) and Jonathan Carroll (keyboards).
