Pat Metheny will hit the road this fall for a tour with Larry Grenadier. The jazz favorites will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Somerville Theatre on Sunday, October 9. Tickets for the show are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website for $35 and $45.

Fans can expect Metheny to perform some old favorites along with some new material including selections from his brand new album, What’s It All About. Released in June, the new album is a solo acoustic set comprised of 10 classic cover songs, some very well known and others that hold personal meanings for the guitarist.

“I wanted to record some of the music that was on my radar before I ever wrote a note of my own, or in a few cases, even before I played an instrument,” explained Metheny in press release. “I was born in 1954 and all of these songs were in the Top 40 during my childhood and early teen years. It was a period when harmony and melody were still important and viable elements in popular music. Every one of these tunes has something going on that is just hip on a musical level, no matter how you cut it. They have all stuck with me over the years.”
