Pat Green has announced dates for a winter tour that will kick off with shows in his home state of Texas and make its way to Massachusetts in March. The country star will make his way north for a performance at Boston’s House of Blues on Thursday, March 1. Tickets are now on sale through Live Nation for $25.

Green is set to release a follow-up to his 2001 cover album with Cory Morrow, Songs We Wish We’d Written, with a second installment of the same title. Scheduled to hit stores on May 8, the record will feature tributes to many of Green’s fellow Texan artists, including Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, Walt Wilkins, Will Alan Sexton and Todd Snider, as well as other notable artists like Tom Petty and Shelby Lynn. The album, which was recorded by Green with his longtime road band, features lead single “All Just To Get To You” (original recording by Joe Ely and Will Alan Sexton).

“We hope our fans enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it,” said Green in a press release. “You’ll hear a few songs you already know and may notice others that are unfamiliar; which was by design. I enjoy spreading the word about great talents and great music.”

Fans can pre-order an autographed copy of the new album, along with a t-shirt and koozie, through Green’s website for $25.

Green is currently writing new material for his next album and will head into the studio early next year to record. His last offering of all new material was 2009’s What I’m For.
