Our Lady Peace have revealed plans for a summer tour in support of their brand new album, Curve. The Toronto-based rock band will hit Boston for a show at the Paradise Rock Club on Sunday, July 29. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at nooon through Ticketmaster for $25.

Curve, the band’s eighth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Burn Burn, was released in April. Recorded in Toronto and L.A., the album was co-produced by frontman Raine Maida and Jason Lader (Julian Casablancas, Elvis Costello). The video for lead single single “Heavyweight” is streaming below.

“This is the record we’ve been trying to make for the past ten years,” declared Maida in a press release. “There’s something to be said about being beaten up and being able to dust yourself off and get back in the ring.”

“While writing for Curve the focus was on being musically brave,” added bassist Duncan Coutts. “It became the mantra in our sessions.”

Maida concluded, “Curve is more about us, going through this reawakening and independence and hopefully creating a deeper connection with our audience.”
