OneRepublic have added a handful of new dates to their upcoming summer tour with fellow pop-rock favorites The Script. Due to overwhelming demand after selling out their show on June 25, the band have announced plans to hit Boston early for a performance at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Tuesday, June 24. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $24 to $74.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

The upcoming tour continues OneRepublic’s promotion of Native. Released last March, the band’s third studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Waking Up debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200. The album was mostly recorded at lead singer/songwriter/keyboardist Ryan Tedder’s Patriot Studios in Denver. Produced by Tedder and fellow bandmate Brent Kutzle, OneRepublic also collaborated with producers Philippe Zdar (Phoenix, Depeche Mode), Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, fun.) and Benny Blanco (Maroon 5, Rihanna). Native has been powered by smash hit “Counting Stars”, as well as fellow singles “Feel Again” and “If I Lose Myself” (video is streaming below).

The Script, the Irish rock trio of Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, are currently recording a new album in their hometown of Dublin. No release date for the band’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2012’s #3 has been set but its expected to arrive in time for the summer tour. #3 featured singles “Hall of Fame” (featuring, “Six Degrees of Separation” and “If You Could See Me Now”.
