OK Go move show to House of Blues

After quickly selling out the Paradise Rock Club, OK Go have decided to move their Boston show to the more expansive space at the House of Blues. The Chicago rockers will hit Lansdowne Street on Friday, May 7 with Earl Greyhound and Robert Francis. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $17.50. Tickets will still be honored for fans who already purchased tickets for the Paradise show.

OK Go will be touring in support of their latest album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky. Released in January, the new album is the band’s third studio album and is based on a passage from “The Influence of the Blue Ray of the Sunlight and of the Blue Colour” of the Sky by General A.J. Pleasonton.

The band recently parted on good terms with EMI Music – which functioned as the band’s label since 2001 – to form their own independent label, entitled Paracadute Recordings. The move gives OK Go more control over the sales and promotion of their new album, which became a point of contention with EMI restricted online access to the band’s music videos.
