of Montreal will return to the road this fall for a fall tour of the United States before heading over to Europe for more shows there. The band will make their way to Boston’s House of Blues on Thursday, September 16. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $25 and $35.

The indie rockers from Athens, Georgia are touring in support of their latest album, False Priest. Released last September, it is the band’s tenth studio effort. False Priest features special guests including Grammy-nominated singer Janelle Monáe and Solange Knowles, younger sister of Beyoncé. The album marks the first time that frontman Kevin Barnes has recorded in a studio, over a span of fifteen years and nine releases. All previous of Montreal albums were created digitally. Barnes chose the world’s most awarded studio for his debut: Ocean Way Recording (Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra). The usual use of midi sounds and sequencers is replaced by organic instruments, including drums, strings, and piano.
