of Montreal map spring tour
Indie rockers of Montreal will return to the road this spring for nationwide tour that include multiple stops in New England, including a show at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. The band will hit the historic club on Comm. Ave on Sunday, May 1. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $26.50. Painted Palms will open the show.
of Montreal continue to tour in support of their most recent release, 2010′s False Priest. The album, their tenth full-length studio effort, was released last September and hit #11 on the Alternative and #14 on the Rock albums charts. It features guest vocals from Janelle Monáe.
The band will also play Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island on Tuesday, April 26. Tickets for the show are now on sale through etix.com for $20. The following night, of Montreal will play Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut.
In related news, the group’s founder and lead singer Kevin Barnes will release his first book, What’s Weird?, on April 26. The book showcases over 100 paintings and hundreds of sketches and doodles by Barnes, along with comments about each of the pieces.
