O.A.R. will make annual summer visit in August

Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) are heading out for their perennial summer tour once again.  The veteran college favorites will return to Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion on Wednesday, August 10. Tickets for the show will go on sale  Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $39.50.

Known for their song variations and extensive jamming, O.A.R. have built a notable collection of songs since releasing their first album in 1997 with The Wanderer. They’ll be adding to that collection with the release of their seventh studio effort in September, which the Maryland group plans on previewing throughout the summer with several tracks during the set.  The band’s last studio effort was 2008’s All Sides.

“Going out on the road during the summer has been a tradition for us as much as it has been for our audience,” explained lead singer Marc Roberge in a recent press release. “With so many new songs and arrangements to choose from the show will be fresh every night, in every city, which makes it a lot of fun for us. That same feeling of excitement I had our first summer out just comes right back in an instant.”

No support acts for the Boston show have been revealed.
