Of A Revolution have announced plans to continue touring in support of their latest album, King. The Maryland rockers, better known as O.A.R., will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Friday, August 3. Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $39.50. Joining the band on the road will be special guests Rebelution.

King, O.A.R.’s seventh studio album and follow-up to 2008’s All Sides, debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 after its release last August. It features singles “Heaven” and “Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes”. The band recorded King in each of the member’s now respective home cities including Chicago, Columbus, Washington D.C. and New York City.  The title track features special guest DJ Logic. King is streaming in its entirety on the band’s website.

After over 15 years together, the band is still as intent on connecting with their fans as when they formed in 1996. “The whole game plan of this record was to go back to what we do best, which is getting in touch with what we do onstage, and bringing that energy into it,” drummer Chris Culos said in an interview with The Aquarian last summer. “The writing really takes a look back at our history and has us saying, ‘Okay, where have we come from? What does our audience look like? What is it that we like?’ And it’s digesting everything we’ve learned along the way and making something brand new out of that.”

Rebelution will be touring in support of their brand new album, Peace Of Mind. The reggae band’s fourth studio album was released as a multi-length triple album which includes Peace of Mind: Acoustic and Peace of Mind: Dub. It debuted at #13 on the Billboard 200, as well as #1 on Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums and Top Independent Albums charts after its release in January.
