Norah Jones announces 2010 tour plans

Norah Jones has revealed plans for a winter tour in support of her recently released album, The Fall. The singer/songwriter will perform at Boston’s Citi Wang Theatre on March 25. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $43 to $63, go on sale Saturday at noon through Telecharge.

The Fall debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 last week after selling 180,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album, her fourth studio effort and followup to 2007’s Not Too Late. Jones experimented with different sounds and a new set of collaborators on the album. She worked with noted producer and engineer Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits and Modest Mouse) and several songwriting collaborators including Ryan Adams and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff. Jones is also backed by a new group of musicians including drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer).
