Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden have announced plans to join forces this summer for a nationwide co-headlining tour. The veteran rockers will hit Massachusetts for a night together at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Tuesday, July 29. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $23.50 to $99.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Death Grips will also perform.

Earlier this month, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden celebrated the 20th anniversary of their seminal albums, The Downward Spiral and Superunknown. Both albums have been regarded as some the decade’s best.

Led by mastermind Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails will be touring in support of their new album, Hesitation Marks. The band’s eighth studio effort and follow-up to 2008’s The Slip, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 after its release in September. Recorded in secret over 2012 and 2013, Reznor teamed with producers Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder to create the first new music from Nine Inch Nails in five years. Hesitation Marks, which features lead single “Came Back Haunted”, earned a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Alternative Music Album”. Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham features on several tracks.

Soundgarden continue to tour in support of their latest album, 2012’s King Animal. The grunge rock veterans’ sixth studio effort marked their first release in sixteen years. Co-produced by the band and Seattle veteran Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam), it features singles “Been Away Too Long” and “By Crooked Steps”, while Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready contributes to “Eyelid’s Mouth”. Last week, Soundgarden celebrated Superunknown by performing the album in its entirety at the iTunes Festival at South By Southwest in Austin. In June, they will release a 2-CD deluxe edition of Superunknown featuring the remastered album along with disc two consisting of demos, rehearsals, B-sides and more. Due to prior commitments with Pearl Jam, drummer Matt Cameron will not participate in the upcoming tour.
