Nick Lowe has revealed plans to embark on a brief solo acoustic tour of the Northeast this summer. The veteran singer-songwriter will make several stops in New England, including an intimate performance at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River on Saturday, August 17. Tickets for the show are now on sale through the venue’s website and box office for $40.

Lowe, who first made his mark as an acclaimed producer (Elvis Costello, Graham Parker) continues to promote his latest release, 2011’s The Old Magic. The follow-up to 2007’s At My Age features the single “Sensitive Man” (video is streaming below).

Fans in Western Massachusetts can see Lowe perform at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Massachusetts on Tuesday, August 20. Along with the shows in Massachusetts, Lowe will deliver a two-night stand at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, New Hampshire on Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16. Other New England stops on the tour include the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine on August 18 and the Fairfield Theatre in Fairfield, Connecticut on August 23.

Kim Richey, a labelmate on Yep Roc records, will open each of the shows.
