Nada Surf to play the Paradise Rock Club

Currently touring through Europe, Nada Surf will return to the United States next month for a tour that includes a stop in Massachusetts. The New York-based rockers will play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, December 13. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers Eternal Summers, are available through Ticketmaster for $22.50.

The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy
, Nada Surf’s seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s If I Had a Hi-Fi, was released in January. Recorded in Brooklyn and produced by Chris Shaw (Wilco, Brendan Benson), its their first of all new material since 2008’s Lucky. The video for lead single “Waiting For Something” is streaming below.

“Making this album was such a joy, the most fun we’ve had with a record,” said singer-guitarist Matthew Caws in a press release. “The whole thing felt adventurous and we stayed constructive.”

In March, Nada Surf released The Dulcitone Files EP. The 5-track set is comprised of stripped-down acoustic versions of songs from The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy.
