Muse to bring Madness to Boston in 2013

After rocking Saturday Night Live, Muse have announced plans for a stateside tour in support of their brand new album, The 2nd Law. The English rockers will cross the pond in early 2013 for a tour of North America that hits Boston for a night at the TD Garden on Friday, April 12. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $45 to $65, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

The 2nd Law, Muse’s sixth studio album and follow-up to 2009’s The Resistance, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release last week. The album has been powered by singles “Survival” (which was named the official song of the London 2012 Summer Olympics) and “Madness”. The video for the latter is streaming below.

“I think it’s going to be our best tour so far,” said frontman Matt Bellamy in a recent interview with Los Angeles radio station KROQ. “It’s like our version of The Wall.”

“We’ve built this upside down pyramid structure which is full of video screens,” he explained. “Throughout the gig, it gradually comes down and consumes the band. So we end up eaten up by this pyramid thing, which is all very symbolic, of course. We blast out of it and escape. It’s going to be a big experience. This is our Stonehenge tour!”
