Nikki Sixx to host book signing in Boston tonight

In celebration of the release of his second book, “This is Gonna Hurt: Photography and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx”, Motley Crue and Sixx:A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx will hit Boston tonight for a special book signing. The meet and greet will take place at the Barnes & Noble / Boston University Book Store (660 Beacon Street) and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

“This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography And Life Through The Distorted Lens Of Nikki Sixx” was released last month. It’s described as “part photo, part journal—but all Nikki Sixx”. The collection of photography and stories that tell of Sixx’s life in rock and roll. Along with the book, Sixx has released a companion album with his band Sixx:A.M.

“It’s been a game changer to see kids at the signings crying and their parents saying thank you,” said Sixxx of the book tour in a press release. “They’ve told me the book has had a positive influence on their lives. It inspires me every day to get up and do better.”

In 2008, Sixx released his acclaimed memoir, “The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star”.
