Motion City Soundtrack reveal plans for new album, tour

Motion City Soundtrack will make their way to Massachusetts next month as part of a summer tour in support of their forthcoming album, Go. The veteran rockers will stop in Cambridge for a show at the Middle East Downstairs on Saturday, June 30. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $20. Henry Clay People and The Front Bottoms will open the show.

Go, the band’s fifth studio effort, will hit stores on June 12. The album mark’s the band’s return to Epitaph Records, the label responsible for releasing their first three albums, beginning with I Am the Movie in 2003. Go, which follows 2010’s My Dinosaur Life, was recorded over an extended period of time this past winter at Flowers Studio in their hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota with Ed Ackerson co-producing alongside the band.
