Motion City Soundtrack make plans for special tour
In preparation for their fifth studio album release, Motion City Soundtrack will return to Massachusetts as a part of a unique seven-city tour later this summer. The Minneapolis-based alternative rockers will perform two back-to-back nights in each city, playing their entire four-album collection from start to finish. The band will play Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13 and 14. Tickets for the shows will Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $29.50 per night or $50 for a two-night pass.
Over the course of the two nights, Motion City Soundtrack will perform their four studio albums from start to finish. The first night will be dedicated to 2003′s I Am The Movie and 2005′s Commit This To Memory, while night two will focus on 2007′s Even If it Kills Me and 2010′s My Dinosaur Life. The tour will kick off in Los Angeles in late August. The band originally staged a similar performance of the then three albums in three nights in Chicago in 2009.
Motion City Soundtrack, who were last in town for shows at the House of Blues last November, recently finished recording their still-untitled fifth album with producer Ed Ackerson at his Flower Studio in Minneapolis. The band is looking to release the new album in Spring 2012.
