Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything plot co-headlining tour
Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything have announced plans for a co-headlining tour this fall. The bands will play Boston’s House of Blues on Monday, November 8. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $25 an $35. The Massachusetts show will be preceded by a stop in Rhode Island as the two will play Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence on Saturday, November 6. Tickets for that show are now on sale through etix.com for $25 and $33. Saves the Day and A Great Big Pile of Leaves will open both shows.
Minneapolis’ Motion City Soundtrack are touring in support of their new album, My Dinosaur Life. Released this past January, the band’s fourth studio effort and first on Capital Records debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200. The band has been spent much of the year touring in support of the album, with stops all across the United States, England, Australia and Japan. To coincide with the release of their second single “A Lifeless Ordinary”, Motion City Soundtrack recently launched their “Give A Little Help” campaign,w hich will award three fans with grants of $3,500 to the charity of their choice. The band encourages fans to head over to their official website to post a video about something they’ve done to help a person, cause or charity.
Los Angeles’ Say Anything continue to tour in support of their 2009 self-titled album. Produced by veteran producer/mixer/engineer Neal Avron and released last November, the album is their fourth studio effort and follows 2007′s In Defense of the Genre. The album features lead single “Hate Everyone”.
Saves the Day will be touring in support of their highly anticipated new album Daybreak, the third and final chapter in their trilogy of albums with 2006′s Sound the Alarm and 2007′s Under the Boards.
